Dr. Ren leads department-wide and university-wide efforts in high-throughput sequencing, with a particular focus on RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq), exome sequencing (Exome-Seq), and single-cell sequencing (Single Cell-Seq) to advance precision medicine and molecular diagnostics. His research also explores innovative cancer therapies, including antibody-based treatments and the therapeutic modification of messenger RNA (mRNA) to target cancer at the molecular level.
