Dr. Pranav Patwardhan completed his medical education at Grant Medical College, Mumbai, India and postgraduate training in Pathology at Seth G S Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai, India before pursuing further training in the United States. Dr. Patwardhan has completed Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency along with fellowships in hematopathology and molecular genetic pathology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Patwardhan is currently board- certified in Anatomic & clinical pathology and hematopathology. His research interests are centered arounds the field of hematopathology and molecular pathology, and has published original research articles in reputed medical journals like the American journal of surgical pathology, American journal of clinical pathology etc. Dr. Patwardhan was also a part of the Molecular Hematology oncology working group and played an important role in the validation of the in-house NGS panel for hematolymphoid neoplasms. At the national level, Dr. Patwardhan has presented at various conferences like USCAP, CAP, ASCP and is also currently serving as a Member of the publications committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP). Dr. Patwardhan is keenly interested in medical education and has been invited for educational webinars, symposiums and has been named in the Pathologist magazine’s Power list for multiple years.
