Research and Clinical Expertise

Dr. Pearce's clinical practice in the Division of Neuropathology includes the surgical and autopsy neuropathology services, where he enjoys teaching residents and fellows the art of diagnosing neuropathologic specimens at the gross and microscopic level. His research interests include computational analysis of whole-slide images for quantification of neurodegenerative changes, digital spatial profiling of protein and RNA expression in human brain tissue, and the molecular neuro-oncology of brain tumors, particularly infiltrative gliomas.
